So You Want to Start a DVD Duplication Service, Huh?

Written by admin on Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Why would anyone want to go and start a CD duplication service? After all, everything is moving to iPods and smartphones, right? Think again. Most music is still listened to on a good old CD. So if you thought CDs were on their way out, do not count on it just yet. But are not

DVD duplication services just for folks who need thousands of discs…I ca not handle that many CDs! Not necessarily. In fact, the big companies often focus on mass production often at a fairly high cost. That leaves the door open for you. I mean sure, you may not make a million dollars a year, but you can bring home a respectable profit if you work at it.

Software vendors, music artists, and companies who need to secure their data all need a place to turn to for CD duplication needs. It is time for you to be that person. You may already have most of the equipment necessary for production. First, you will need CDs (no kidding, heh). Next, you will need a computer (either a desktop or a laptop should do the trick) that comes with CD burning capabilites. Third, you will need the software to actually burn CDs. Finally, you will need the most important thing…the customers, silly! Even if you do not have the equipment, it iss not hard to obtain. Most computer companies and general merchandise outlets (Sears, Wal Mart, etc.) offer computers and software of all sorts. And the cost is not out of this world, either.

Now, back to those customers…who should you go after. Find out what local bands are in the area. Where? Check MySpace or Facebook. If you are attending school or college (or have a friend or relative who is), ask around there. Bands are looking for someone quick and easy to get their music mass produced. They maybe can not afford a professional company, but you might be just what they are looking for. Another target is a small business. You would think someone in the company would handle it, would not you? But you would be surprised at the number of companies who do not have the time or computer knowledge to handle their own data backup. Usually when that is the case, they simply decide to do without the backup. As we both know, that is a bad idea!

My suggestion is to go online and see what the big wigs charge, then use that as a template to figuring out how much you will want to charge. If you set a sensible price, nice turnaround time, and superior disks, you will not only have customers coming back, word of mouth will really get you jump started. So if you are interested in starting your own

DVD replication , now is the time!

Warm Up For Zumba Classes

Written by admin on Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Hello my fellow Zumba fitness instructors!! I have been asked several times about proper warm-ups and cool downs. By textbook, a WARM UP is to prepare the body for vigorous exercise and may reduce the risk of injury. When I do an instructor training class for group exercise or Zumba fitness master class I always tell my students to think about what they are going to be doing in class and to use the warm up to get the body ready for those types of moves. For example, inZumba (Latin type classes) you want to warm your class up with directional movements, arm movements, hip movements and feet movement to name a few. When planning your warm up you want to keep this in mind. LASTLY, your warm up should be very carefree…I usually don’t choreograph this portion of my Zumba class.

I just MOVE, focus on what I mentioned above and use this time to GET IN TUNE WITH MY ZUMBA CLASS. I usually talk and “have fun”, make eye contact and smile at each person and I also watch my class and see how they are moving with these basic moves in the warm-up it usually tells me a lot. I can then adjust my Zumba class accordingly. If there is a new move in one of your Zumba routines, the warm up is a great place to “show it” so then when that routine comes up they have already been introduced and they will feel more accomplished when they do that new Zumba workout! OKAY…NOW THE OTHER END..THE COOL DOWN..by text book the purpose of the cool down is to provide a transitional period between the “work” segment and the stretch/muscular strengthening segments of your class.

Without a gradual cool down period, the blood can pool in the extremities immediately and cause fainting. Moderate to slow rhythmic movements for the upper and lower body will enable the muscles of the extremities to pump the blood back to the heart and brain. You want to use this time to bring the heart rate back down (100 beats or less). U really want to use the easy foot movement (side to side)…a slow salsa.. to bring the heart rate down…use movements that stretch the areas of the body that you worked in the “work” segment of your class…eventually stopping and stretching for the full range of motion.. this is where I put on some sexy salsa slow music in my Zumba workout or for other classes slow funky music and stretch and talk to the class…see how they liked it and “bond” with them…this is an opportunity to build relationships with your Zumba classes…they are your number one marketing tool! You take care of them then they will take care of you. The power of word of mouth is amazing! To see proper warm ups being used in a Zumba fitness video check out www.darsfitness.com

Also if you are looking to advertise, use key people in your classes…get email addresses…people in your classes have businesses that they can put flyer up or maybe you can get an email list from them or give the flyer to them that they can forward!!!
Next time I will be talking about liability issues, fun stuff huh!!! lol…

Styles Of Window treatments It Is Possible To Implement Within Your Residence

You will find many kinds of curtains and drapes. They come in various types of fabric, styles and sizes. The most common types are tabbed, pole pocket, grommet, pinch-pleat, tie-top and swags.

Tabbed curtains have “tabs” within the top. They’re normally rectangular shaped and hang about the rod. The dimensions of rod required depends on the size from the tabs. They’re effortless to hang on rods since rings or clips are not needed.

One more quick curtain to suspend is pole pocket curtains. Like the tabbed style, rings and clips aren’t needed. The rod goes via the “pole pocket.” Also like the tabbed style, the size of rod is dependent on the inside diameter on the pocket. Utilize a rod which has a smaller diameter than the pocket, and so the curtains can move across the rod.

Grommet drapes have gained popularity lately. Grommets are usually round, metal or plastic rings which have been sewn in to the drapes. The drapery rod is threaded by way of the grommets. They provide a incredibly clean look. Chose your drapery rod at least one-half inch small compared to the inside diameter in the grommets to ensure uncomplicated movement with the drapes. The pinch-pleated type have pleats along the best in the curtains. They gather nicely along the rod. Pleated cafe drapes style require rings to suspend on a rod. Rings with eyelets might be sewn directly to the pleats within the back from the fabric or put on pincer clips which “pinch” onto the fabric. One more option is to use clips that are sewn or else attached to the back from the pleats and go via the ring eyelets.

A further kind of curtain is the tie-top. The best with the fabric has several ties that “tie” around the rod. They is usually knotted or tied in bows. Swag curtains are pieces of fabric that hang over and around the rod. You’ll find a lot of ways to “swag” the curtains over the rod. They could be used with other sorts of curtains since swags typically suspend more than the top of the rod. Almost any size rod will work with swags.
